On October 15, Sanimax hosted its first public meeting with the South St. Paul community to provide updates on our key improvement projects. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended; your time and participation are greatly appreciated. For those unable to join us, we’d like to share the main points discussed, focusing on two significant initiatives that will be operational by the end of 2024 as part of our comprehensive odor improvement strategy.

Cooker Replacement Project:

The new equipment for the cooker replacement has arrived on-site, and we are now preparing for its installation and launch in the coming weeks. Projects of this scale require extensive planning, engineering, and design—often spanning over 12 months, including manufacturing lead times. We are excited to be approaching the final stages of this important initiative.

Odor Abatement Equipment Installation:

In the coming months, we will be finalizing the installation of a new venturi scrubber system as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce odors. This technology will enhance air quality by integrating multiple stages of odor removal, contributing to a cleaner and more pleasant environment for our community.

At Sanimax, we are committed to transparency and open communication, ensuring that the South St. Paul community remains informed and engaged. We greatly value your feedback and look forward to continuing to share updates on these important projects.
