Sanimax is proud to serve South St. Paul and communities across the Midwest
Sanimax has been part of the greater Twin Cities area since 1882 and the South St. Paul community since 1958. The current Sanimax SSP Plant is located in what were once the largest stockyards in the world.
The plant plays a pivotal role in Minnesota’s agriculture and restaurant industries. Sanimax SSP transforms 400 million pounds of organic material yearly that would otherwise go to landfill. Additionally, Sanimax has invested millions of dollars in upgrades in South St. Paul in recent years.
Sanimax’s mission is simple: reclaim, renew and return for a greener future!
In North America, only half of what is produced by the livestock industry is consumed by humans. Without companies like Sanimax, this massive quantity of leftovers resulting from mass consumption would be sent straight to a landfill. Discover how we turn unconsumed by-products into useful materials.
